Jennifer J. Barsness was born and raised in Appleton, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1992 with a B.A. in History, minoring in English. While at the University of Minnesota she lettered 4 years in Track and Field and was Team Captain of the cross country team.

Jennifer graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, MN in 1995 with a J.D. and received her LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Denver Law School in 1999.

Prior to joining The Barsness Law Firm, P.C., Jennifer was an Associate at Isaacson Rosenbaum, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. She also previously worked as the Director of Planned Giving at the American College in Bryn Mawr, PA and as Advanced Marketing Director at Security Life Insurance Company of Denver . Her practice is focused on estate planning and probate.

Jennifer is married with three children and lives in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Jennifer's hobbies include running, biking, reading, skiing, camping and hiking.
